Your Stache is everything you've got stored across your home — food, consumables, pet supplies, tools. MyStache tracks what you have, where it is, and when you're about to run out.
What's a LowStache?
A LowStache is an item that's dipped below its minimum quantity. You set the minimum (e.g. "always keep 2 rolls of paper towels"), and we raise a flag when you're under it.
And a MustStache?
A MustStache is an item you've flagged as absolutely essential. Coffee. Olive oil. The good toilet paper. MustStaches get extra-close monitoring and their own dashboard tile.
Who is MyStache for?
Anyone who's ever bought their third jar of cumin because they couldn't find the first two. Families, homesteaders, chest-freezer enthusiasts, and meticulous pantry-havers of all stripes.
Getting started
How long does setup take?
About five minutes to set up your locations, then you're ready to scan. Most households have a rough-draft Stache going within an hour.
Do I need to inventory everything on day one?
Absolutely not. Most folks start by scanning stuff as they use it, or as they bring new groceries home. The Stache builds itself over a couple of weeks.
Can I import my existing spreadsheet?
Yes. CSV import is included on Home and Homestead plans. We'll walk you through the column mapping.
What devices does it work on?
The web app works on any modern browser — laptop, tablet, phone. An iPhone app is coming this summer, with Android after.
Household & sharing
Can multiple people share a Stache?
Yes — that's the whole point. Home plan supports 4 users, Homestead is unlimited. Everyone scans, stashes, and sees the same inventory.
Do kids get their own logins?
They can. Each user gets their own account but shares the household Stache. You control permissions (scan-only vs. full edit).
What if someone leaves the household?
Admin can remove them. Their contributions to the Stache stay; their access ends immediately.
Billing & plans
Is there really a free tier?
Yes. 1 user, 3 locations, 100 active items. Enough for a small pantry or a trial run.
What happens when the trial ends?
You drop to Free automatically. No card, no auto-charge. Your data stays — you just lose paid features like barcode lookup and unlimited items until you upgrade.
Can I cancel anytime?
Always. One click, no exit interview. Your CSV export goes with you.
Will the iPhone app cost extra?
No. One subscription covers web, iPhone, and eventually Android. App Store subscriptions billed through Apple; web billed through Stripe.
Privacy & data
Who can see my Stache?
Only you and the users you invite. We don't sell, share, or analyze your inventory. Ever.
Where is my data stored?
US-based servers, encrypted at rest and in transit. We keep nightly backups.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. One click in Settings → Danger Zone. We purge your data within 30 days.
